Bulgarian ceramics

Bulgarian ceramics will be a wonderful addition to the interior of a country kitchen, and it will undoubtedly bring a piece of peaceful ethnic comfort to the decor of a city apartment.

The most recognizable Bulgarian ceramics are Troyan ceramics and ceramics from the Danko Handmade workshop. Troyan ceramics are decorated with patterns made using a technique called “Troyanska sharka”. The products are durable and can be used in the oven, microwave and dishwasher.

Danko Handmade ceramics are produced in a workshop in the city of Pleven, which was opened by the Bulgarian hereditary ceramist artist Daniel Nikolov. The distinctive features of Danko ceramics are the originality of shapes, expressiveness of colors, and functionality. Danko products are widely popular far beyond Bulgaria.

In addition to these brands, in Bulgaria there are many different manufacturers of ceramics, well-known and not so well known. All you have to do is choose what you like.


Bulgarian cosmetics

When it comes to cosmetics that are purchased as gifts, cosmetics made from natural roses, or rather rose oil, are especially popular. The most famous manufacturers of Bulgarian cosmetics are “BioFresh” and “Refan”

Honey

The mild Bulgarian climate creates favorable conditions for the development of beekeeping farms in the country. What types of honey are not produced in Bulgaria: linden, oak, semolina honey, flower, mountain, chestnut, coriander. The city of Nessebar is the honey capital of Bulgaria. At the end of August, an annual honey fair is held here, where you can buy not only honey from producers, but also purchase honey-based cosmetics.

Brandy

Rakia is a strong alcoholic drink with a very mild taste, made from a variety of local fruits. It is better to buy brandy in large supermarkets, since the selection and prices there are often more interesting than in small retail outlets.

Spices

Spices from Bulgaria are a wonderful gift. In Bulgaria, seasonings, spices, spices are called, in one word: “additions”. The most favorite seasoning in Bulgaria is considered to be “Sharena sol” – this is a delicious natural seasoning, which includes a mixture of ground dried spices with the addition of salt. The defining component is the spices, and not the salt as you might think.
